Common in Nature Reserves |
Alstonia angustifolia is a forest dweller that prefers the interior parts of the Central Nature Reserves, possibly it prefers the higher humidity of this habitat. The leaves of A. angustifolia are unmistakable with upward curved secondary veins. The leaf widens towards the tip and is much less stiff than its cousin Alstonia angustiloba which is usually found in dryer forest edge habitat. This species has been observed to flower and fruit regularly throughout the year. |
